Description

UPDATE: After getting some critique from a few veteran photographers I learned about Luminosity and Saturation masks and used this to build up my image and I have to say its a MASSIVE difference, my post processing looks incompetent compared to now. Please let me know your thoughts :)

Location: Goit Stock Falls, Harden, United Kingdom

Description: YEAH FOOLS DIDNT EXPECT THAT DID YOU?!?!? Such an awesome place I loved every second that I was there :la:

Even though it was raining the entire time =_=

At any rate. I must of found out about this place like two weeks ago and I was like WHAT?!?! A place that looks this good exists in england and its near us?!?! It really goes to show searching locally produces golden results. This is now my most favourite place in the whole world :), and it only takes me an hour to get there >_<

Enjoy!

Hi Rameez!
Overall this is a nice shot - there are no major problems here. I like the cascades and the rocks on the left in front of them. This is the strongest part of the image for me. If you have a shot taken more from the left with a zoom on this area - that would be a winner for me.
Compared to this idea your version, while repsecting the classical "thirds" approach feels a little empty. I like the leaf-covered stone in the foreground but it's just too isolated from the center and my eyes jump up and down from the fall to the stone - that's too tiring. The streaks in the creek could work but here they feel just a little too chaotic and don't go with the overall peaceful mood of the image. I've had the same problems before and there's not a lot you can do expect to work with some blending of several shots to maybe improve that look.
The shadows are just a bit too deep for me and if possible I would brighten them a little. The shot also feels a little rotated CW - maybe I'm wrong, but you could also check that on the full version.
I hope I've given you some ideas here on how to maybe alter the image a little.
Take care.
